A nature documentary sounds good right now. [Perfect compromise since his usual preference now feels Very Weird.
Peter shifts in Rue's hold, intending to grab the remote. Only for it to just be slightly out of reach. He can graze his fingers against it, but not get a hold of it.
Peter should just ask Rue to grab it. Instead he sticks his fingertips to the plastic, bringing it back over.] Lemme see what channel its actually on...
I would leave it with Donnie to study, just for a few days, to see what he can discover of it, but certainly, I'm not worried in the slightest, my love. It will be just fine. Just - perhaps - do not let it go from that jar. Just to be certain.
[Peter releases a soft huff of amusement at being hauled back in, but doesn't protest. He turns the TV onto a nature documentary at random.
Sure lets learn about the migration of butterflies, perfectly valid TV.
Not that Peter pays it much mind. He's comfortable, he feels a lot better, and one of his favorite people is with him. Whenever Leo comes home, it'll become two of his favorite people.]
I can not say for sure, but we do not know it is bad nor do we know where it truly came from. Perhaps it is something that caught a ride on your horns, not something born from within them.
But I will say this, it is not you, my darling Hunter. I know your heart and how beautiful and warm and loving it is.
[Rue is all too happy to squeeze him close. This is their boy and they are always here to soothe his ruffled feathers.]
Not quite, but I do not see how something bad could be born from your heart, especially without you intending for it to happen. Our magic, no matter what mastery we gain over it, it is still something that we must intend to cast, correct?
So if you have not been unintentionally casting messy, dangerous magic, I do not see how such a thing could possibly be your fault. Perhaps we should ask around. Besides Donnie and yourself, I do not know many Myths. Maybe someone else has had a similar situation happen with their horns.
For me, I only have my halo - [and it is silly, but their chin tips up as if they might be able to peek up and see it, even though it is forever hovering over them. The halo itself is made of living flowers, peonies in constant bloom, fragrant and full for the moment.]
Others grew wings but I suppose I already had a pair and they didn't see reason to give me another.
No, no, not at all. [oh hunter, forgive rue for a few giggles at that]
Peonies were certainly a part of my brand since back in Faerie, but I suppose Thirteen just thought to make my Legend attributes a part of my aesthetic here.
