Do not dare! I will concede this once, but again, thank you both from the very bottom of my heart. I am so touched by this gift. Even back in Gloucester, I never saw a television of this size! I will be able to see every detail of every outfit in perfect definition.

[What a gift to their neck and their eyes to no longer hunch and squint!]

And once everything is in place, you all must come over for a movie night. If I have a screen of this size, we must make good use of it.

[He'd have come over for a movie night whether it was a big TV or not. But this will admittedly make it much easier to do a group thing, instead of the one-on-one cuddles in front of the relic. Not that he would object to more close cuddling still happening, either...

He gets the sides sliced easily, but when he tries to lift the box up and away from the TV, he... cannot. It gets stuck at the top and he can't reach it.]

Uhh. Can I get a hand please?

[Or a lift up. Please, he's so small and this TV is enormous.]

[Leo gets one hand still on the tv, the other swiping a portal real quick for Casey to reach through like it's nothing.]

Anyway yeah we're definitely gonna come over for group nights. You'll get sick of us by the time you finish Jupiter Jim.

[Rue stands there watching, paws clasped in front of them, looking from Leo to Casey to Leo's portals to the pile of cords to the television again - it is so much!]

Am I able to help? You only need to tell me what to do.

[Somehow forgot Leo could do that thirty seconds after walking through a portal- but yay, crisis averted. The box comes down to reveal the beautiful gigantic screen in all its HD glory, already plugged in thanks to Leo.

Casey grabs the box and starts rifling through cables.]

Can we have your relic? I need to figure out how to connect them. Might be easy, might take a while. Uh... there's not much else to do besides getting rid of the box. Leo?

[neonleon]

Far as I know. [He gives a shrug. Donnie would know for sure and they'll probably call him later. But just setting this up should be fine for now.]

Can't think of anything else to set this up. Unless you had some storage or something I could load movies onto for you.

[Leo, do you see the lost look in their eyes? Yeah. That's faaaaar beyond Rue's capabilities.

But handing over their relic is more than easy enough. Rue fetches it and waits until Casey has a free hand before passing it over.]

Well, if I can not help out in this, at the very least, I can bring you both something to drink after all of this hard work. What would you like?

We can probably get an external later. But the relic kind of has infinite stuff on it, so that's good for today.

[Casey accepts the relic and sets it down on the floor beside him, starting to piece some of the cables together. It should technically be fine to just plug it in directly, but his goal is to make something Rue can just connect and have it work immediately, which is going to take a little more work. He's determined, though! And while he may not be as tech savvy as Donnie (who is, honestly) this is more his element.]

Just some water's enough for me. Sensei, can you see the remote anywhere?

I'm good- [Said at the same time as Casey asking for water. But he looks around and-

Yep there it is.] Got it just - one sec - [he's trying to reach it with his toes give him a second, it's just on the arm of the couch so ...so close.]

[Oh! Oh!

Rue sees Leo stretching for that remote with his toes, but they can just grab it and hand it to him instead with very minimal effort. There! They helped!]

Here, darling. I'll be right back with your water then, Casey. Please, just call if there's anything else I can do, but I shall leave this in both of your capable hands.

Thank you! [A third cable has emerged. There might be a splitter. He's thinking about channels now, whatever they are. To Leo-] HMDI's probably the menu that'll work the easiest. Can you switch over?

[Hope Rue enjoys having the peanut gallery IT crew taking over their living room.]

Oooooh yup, that'd do it.

[he doesn't know much techno jargon, but he knows that much at least. He takes the remote now that Rue handed it to him and switches it over.]

I can't really see too much so you'll have to take this. [Just tossing that remote over.] I bet if we really let Don go wild, he'd set you up with good speakers too.

[There's no doubt about it that Rue is going to have the most cottagecore home theater in all of Willow.]

Do you think? I hadn't even thought to ask him before, but if speakers might go in hand with my lovely new television, maybe I will.

[rue needs to feel the rejection of their reality dating shows in HD audio.

They bustle back into the living room with a tray of Casey's water and a few pieces of sliced fruit. Just in case their boys get a little hungry.]

This looks much more complicated than I'd imagined.

It's sort of backwards, isn't it? If you want something to be easy, the initial set-up is complex. Don't worry about it, though. This is nothing!

[Casey tries to angle himself to get the TV on and switched, but he's on the wrong side and the angle is off for the remote to work, so he just kind of flops back onto the floor and stretches his arm out, and- bam, there we go. The whole thing lights up, demanding an input.]

OH definitely, this is nothing. You should see some of the stuff Dee sets up for himself, it's ridiculous.

[He watches that, still making sure the plugs are in the right spot and ready to swap whatever if they need it.] How's it looking, Case?

[They will just settle perched on a nearby chair, watching curiously and available if an extra pair of paws is needed.]

Oh, that does make sense! And it would be so very much appreciated. You know how technologically illiterate I am, though I am trying to learn. And I can hardly imagine how complex Donnie's set up must be, he always makes it look so simple.

Almost there.

[Casey aligns the last plug, linking it up to the relic and selecting the media app. It takes a few seconds, but the TV suddenly comes alive in a burst of colour, displaying what's on the relic's screen in huge, beautiful HD.]

Yeah, it worked! Now you should be able to watch whatever you want on it.

[Soon as Leo sees the light flicker on and stay on the screen he gives a celebratory WOOP before landing somewhere on the floor with a laugh.]

And we did it without Donnie's know-how. Oh, we are so big brained, Casey. But yeah, whatever you got on your relic, you can watch on the big screen now.

[sorry that their relic background is probably just cycling selfies of the boys but also with like a few really bad blurry, out of focus pictures that accidentally got into the album.

Rue looks amazed.]

You are both the smartest boys alive! Thank you so much!

[apuckalypse]

[Casey's beaming. Factually incorrect, but Rue somehow makes it believable. (No one tell Donnie.)]

You're welcome! Thanks for the portal, Leo.

[HE IS IN FACT THE SMARTEST BOY ALIVE thank you he'll take it. He drapes an arm over Casey's shoulders to lean in and grin up at Rue.]

[And now that they are done and their new tv looks amazing, Leo and Casey better be ready for a giant group hug, cause Rue is coming in to squeeze them both at once, likely lifting both's pairs of feet up off the ground.]

[Oops! Up they go. Casey laughs a bit, getting his arms around (or as far around as he can reach) the both of them.]

I wouldn't say no, but you don't have to! You already gave us tons of clothes, this is supposed to be us giving back a little.

[He will NEVER say no to hugs. He wraps around both of them as best he can.]

Yeah, we wanted to give you something for once. You've done so much for us already.

[It is truly ridiculous how such a sentiment leaves the owlbear stunned for a few moments. They had given their life in service to others for so long, that even now, when everything they gift is comes from a place of love, sometimes the reciprocation is still such a sweet, unexpected surprise.

But all of their boys are so generous and loving, Rue really should have seen this coming.]

I do not know what I would do without either of you. [One quick kiss on each of their heads before Rue is squeezing one last hug and setting them both back to the floor.] Thank you for this gift. We must plan a movie night as soon as possible!
